About us

Southern Sounds Chorus is a fun and friendly group of approximately fifteen ladies from the Mornington Peninsula area.

As a chorus, we meet every week on a Tuesday evening, for gentle physical warm ups, followed by breathing and vocal exercises. We then rehearse our current repertoire, either in our sections, or as a chorus under the direction of Lorraine Bulwyn. After rehearsals, we enjoy a cuppa and a chat.

We love not only to sing in harmony, but we also like to perform our songs using some simple choreography and expressive showmanship. We perform and regularly sing at local venues, including entertaining shoppers during the festive season.

We perform a selection of music such as: True Colours, California Dreamin', What A Wonderful Word, I Am Australian, Tuxedo Junction and I Still Call Australia Home.
